A Yachtmaster™ Offshore is competent to skipper a cruising yacht on any passage during which the yacht is no more than 150 miles from a safe haven.
The RYA Yachtmaster™ Coastal has the knowledge needed to skipper a yacht on coastal cruises, but does not necessarily have the experience needed to undertake longer passages.
A candidate must present a GMDSS compliant marine radio licence and a valid First Aid course completion certificate to the examiner at the start of the exam. Aigua Sea School can assist with both items. Please let us know when you book your training with us, so we can make the arrangements for you. The examiner may ask to see proof of sea miles therefore please ensure you have a log book and/or testimonials available.
