Crew to Instructor ratio?
A five day live-a-board experience with meals onboard included, bed linen and towels, fuel, course completion certificate.
Meals and drinks onshore are not included, the school will also not provision for alcohol but you may take your own. Marina fees are not included and are to be shared between the crew.
None, you can start this course as an absolute beginner, you'll more than likely be sharing with Day Skipper students (as the syllabus is so similar) so you'll be part of their crew during the week.
The Competent Crew syllabus covers the basics of sailing and safety at sea, from man overboard drills and anchoring skills, to sail trimming and helming to a compass course. As a crew you will share the general duties onboard from cooking to hanging fenders and throwing lines to putting the sails ‘to bed’ at the end of the training day.
