The Day Skipper syllabus prepares you to skipper a yacht: preparation for sea, deck work, navigation, pilotage, meteorology, rules of the road, maintenance and repair work, engines, victualling, emergency situations, yacht handling under power, yacht handling under sail, passage making, night cruising and how to command your crew.
One evening of the course will involve a night sail training exercise, usually towards the end of the week when everyone feels very comfortable around the yacht. The night sail usually takes you into Palma harbour where the lights of the capital will both bewilder and enchant you .. a truly amazing experience.
