It is of huge benefit to the yacht crew based in the Balearics to have a PYA Regional Office on their doorstep, and we’re delighted to announce that we are the PYA’s Regional Office for Palma, with Principal Linda being a Regional Officer.
At Aigua Sea School‘s office in Santa Catalina, Palma, we can now provide a service to professional mariners that includes, but not limited to, the authority to attest certificates, testimonials and other documents for the MCA.
The team will offer advice to yacht crew on the benefits of joining the PYA; here’s a taster of what they do for Yacht Crew:
- The PYA is authorised by the MCA to verify sea service. The PYA SRB facilitates any application to the MCA and removes the requirement to submit originals;
- They provide a Crew Work Book to help with career progression (this can be upgraded to the SRB);
- The PYA represents the status of Yacht Crew with educational and administrative bodies within the industry;
- Under its ISO approved QMS, they monitor training providers to ensure standards are maintained thus ensuring your training investment is valued.
An applicant seeking full membership of the PYA will receive an MCA approved Service Record Book, training record book, reduced entry to PYA events, discounts with selected companies and access to professional development events.
You will be welcome at the Aigua Sea School Regional Office to discuss the benefits you will receive and the assistance that can be provided to you.
Please contact us to book an appointment with Linda, the Regional Officer, if you need your documents verified and attested for PYA/MCA applications.
