Well into the Yachtmaster season of spring 2018 and our pass rate remains over the international average. Celebrating an exam pass rate of over 93% in our motor courses, using four different examiners over four sets of Yachtmaster motor exams, the quality of the training provided by the Aigua Sea School team cannot be disputed, and is certainly unrivaled here in the western Mediterranean.
The Aigua ethos of students first was very apparent earlier this month when the weather most certainly dictated the start and end times of a motor training course. Whilst we were happy with our smashing lil Bavaria 36 sailing yacht, Aigua sin Gas, out there in the stronger winds, we were less comfortable with the motor cruising crew starting their training when a F6 increasing F7 was a-blowing from the south straight into the Bay of Palma. With open discussion with the crew we delayed the start of training til the Wednesday to ensure that each practical training day could be exactly that, practical. This of course delayed the exam and we had to cancel all travel logistics of the examiner we had scheduled for the weekend. Our office team worked so long and hard to secure another examiner at such short notice, and a real credit to Rachael, our wonderful office manager, and John-Paul student support manager for pulling this off for the benefit of the crew. Paul Bew, an examiner new to our training centre, ran a fair and thorough exam and all crew passed with flying colours.
We take great care in inviting different examiners to our school. If our exam pass rate remains so high using a variety of examiners, then it just shows how well we prepare our candidates.
We love this photo taken earlier today during our routine visit to the training teams during their practical prep week. The crew are in the good hands of Ian ready for their exam to start at the weekend.
News from the sailing crew, enjoying the steady and expert guidance of John O’Hara, and they are all doing really well. We have invited five different sail examiners already this year, over six sets of exams. With a 90.7% pass rate overall, we can be assured our sailing candidates receive the very best of tuition in preparation for their Yachtmaster exam.
It is worth noting that when you book with Aigua Sea School we provide much more than other training centres. We have over 12 years experience in preparing candidates for Yachtmaster exams, and extremely positive feedback throughout every year; We provide free classes to help our candidates prepare: this is a service we have provided since 2008; We provide a full navigation pack for the theory course, again this is first amongst training centres; the examiners are carefully chosen and delivered to the exam crew free of any charge as part of our commitment to providing you the full training service from start to finish.
Welcome to Aigua Sea School. it’s all about you.
